H.H. Dr. Jayant Balaji Athavale 'The Indian Society for Clinical Hypnosis and Research' was founded in 1982 by reputed Hypnotherapists and researchers in Hypnosis, H.H. Dr. Jayant Balaji Athavale and Dr. (Mrs.) Kunda Jayant Athavale. Publication of 'The Indian Journal of Clinical Hypnosis and Research (Volumes I-V [1983-87])', 'Science of Hypnosis', 'Hypnotherapy according to the Personality Defect Model of Psychotherapy', numerous articles in research journals, over 75 articles from 1982 to 1984 and presentations at national and international conferences are the result of their versatile medical practice and diligent research. Apart from imparting knowledge to over 500 doctors in the last 15 years on science of Hypnosis and principles of Hypnotherapy along with practicals, he is also credited with research that Eosinophilia can be caused by mental problems.
To date, H.H. Dr. Jayant Balaji Athavale has compiled 175 Holy texts and booklets on topics of Dharma, Spirituality, spiritual practice, protecting the mother-tongue etc.
Dr. Ashutosh G Prabhudessai Dr. Ashutosh G Prabhudessai (M.D., F.I.P.S.) is a life member of 'The Indian Society for Clinical Hypnosis and Research' since 1990. He is an honorary member of the 'Indian Psychological Society'. He has trained psychiatrists and doctors from other faculties in Hypnotherapy. He has compiled texts like 'Hypnosis for happiness', 'Science of Hypnosis'. He is presently working as an assistant professor and consultant psychiatrist with the 'Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour', Goa.
