Young men, my hope is in you. Will you respond to the call of the nation? Each one of you has a glorious future, if you dare believe me. Have a tremendous faith in yourselves. Have that faith, each one of you, in yourself-that eternal power is lodged in every soul-and you will revive the whole of India.
Swami Vivekananda
Youth, who are to be filled with hope, strength and energy, are beset with anxiety, weakness and depression, unable to cope up with the problems that confront them. But there is always a ray of hope. Swami Vivekananda assures, ‘Be bold and fear not. We have to become Abhih, fearless, and our task will be done...!
Swami Harshananda, a senior monk of the Ramakrishna Order, discussed the problems of youth and how to confront them in his keynote address delivered at the Youth Convention held in our premises on 29th August, 1982. The talk was later transcribed and brought out as a booklet later that year.
We are now happy to bring out this new edition of the transcribed text with a new wrapper design and a modified layout, with minor corrections and changes in the text.
