Beyond doubt, Sanskrit is the ancient language of India, with the rich tradition of literature, philosophy, literary criticism, art, dramaturgy, the science and art of rhetoric and metrics. Though the historic references are available to fit in the documentation work, as is the modern trend in the field of contemporary literature, but not the enough work has been done so far, in this field. Dr. Ram Kumar Dadhich deserves every appreciation. So far, he has authored two books on the historical aspect of Sanskrit literature,
(i) आधुनिकसंस्कृतसाहित्येतिहासः
(ii) प्राचीनभारतस्य साहित्यिकः सांस्कृतिकश्चेतिहासः
The documentation covers the brief history of modern Sanskrit literature and ancient Kavya-Shastra-Sanskriti (poeties in different modes). It has been rightly said by the great Scholars: रमणीयार्थप्रतिपादकः शब्दः काव्यम्, the poetry is the sound of the inner recesses of emotive feelings, which reflect the delightful meanings.
Professor Ram Kumar Dadhich's present book is third is the series, presented before the teachers and students of Sanskrit literature, which faithfully covers the history of Alamkar Shastra.
