'Tourism' is not a new phenomenon as man has had wanderlust since very beginning. It has a chequered history of growth and development at regional, national and global level, with similarities and variations as well. From geographical point of view tourism is studied with location, landscape & terrain, fauna and flora, climate etc.
As is obviously suggestive from the name of little, this book is a veritable mine of information consisting of well-researched readings on history and geography of tourism. The sources of information are-articles, reports, monographs, abstracts, journals, books and magazines. The entire material is presented in logical sequence in a coherent manner.

Manish Ratti, MBA from IIBM has been teaching management sciences from 1981 at Post-graduate levels. He has been associated with National Institute of Personnel Management for the last 10 years as professional assistance. As conference organizer and trainer, he has conducted more than 100 EDPS. seminars and workshops. He has several books in his credit and monographs in the areas related to Hotel and Hospitality Management, Advertising and Marketing.
