About the Author A disciple of J.P. and Vinoba Bhave, Anandshankar R. Pandya, a freedom fighter, writer and Sarvodaya worker, was born in 1922, He took his graduation from Banaras Hindu University in 1942.

As a writer with the mission of national emancipation Shri Pandya has written several articles on economics and politics. which have been published in many national newspapers.

His interviews on democracy in India with Acharya Kripalani, Justice Chagla, Shri Morarji Desai, the former Prime Minister of India, and Janata Party President Shri Chandrashekharji was published in Times of India, Amrit Bazar Patrika, Mumbai Samachar, Current, Hindustan, and other periodicals evoking wide response.

A widely-travelled businessman, Shri Pandya's enthusiasm is tempered with that of a gentle crusader. His booklets and articles on Hinduism have been well received.
