Book Description
About the Book

In the Predominatily tribal of Chotanagpur there are a number of ancient and old Hindu shrines. The most important of these is the shrine of Tanginath in Majhgaon village on the Bihar- Madhya Pradesh border.

In this informative book Dr Sahay explore and examines the relationship of the tribal people with the Hindu and Buddhist shrines of different categories. His special focus is on Tanginath.

Besides using conventional methods of anthropological research the Author has drawn extensively from other sources. He has also used folklore and available historical and archaeological evidence.

The book is an important contribution in an area which is largely uncharted.
