Preface

This book is a 'readings' in the psychological researches in Nepal. It contains the researches of nearly ten years. Our objective is to provide the reader with the ways of studying 'learning process' and 'self-esteem'. These two aspects are at the centre of the book. The research on learning has changed totally after the efforts of Prof. Ference Marton, Dept. of Education, Gothenburg University, Sweden, and his colleagues.

Six scholars have assisted me in this big project.

I would like to thank-Prof. John Biggs, Dr. David Watkins and Lam Mau Kai; Prof, Maria Alfon and Estella Astilla, Prof. H.S. Asthana.

These Authors are renowned Psychologists from Asia and Australia. Prof. Biggs from Australia is fellow of British Psychological Society currently teaching in the University of Hong Kong. Dr. Watkins is reputed Australian Psychologist from University of Hong Kong. He is the leading Expert and advocate of cross-cultural learning and self-esteem.
