Gurukul: Enduring Values For Children Gurukul II: Inspiring And Moulding Young Minds ISBN Volume -I: 8187662786 ISBN Volume -II: 9789380743226
“The richest treasure of a family, a community, a society, a nation is the children. Put the child right and the world will come out right. Give your children time, give them attention, give them the love of your pure unselfish hearts, give them the right type of training in the home, give them the right type of education in the school and in the college, and they will be the builders of a brave new world,” says Dada J.P. Vaswani.
Gurukul classes are hosted by Sadhu Vaswani Centers across the globe to help children become well-rounded individuals and responsible citizens of society. The purpose of the Sadhu Vaswani Gurukul is to provide an opportunity for children to appreciate the richly diverse and valuable culture of Hinduism as well as the uniquely tolerant and broadminded Indian attitude towards other religions and cultures. This will help the children relate to their roots, and expose young minds to all that is best in Indian culture and values.
The Sadhu Vaswani Gurukul has its roots in the Mira Movement in Education started by Sadhu Vaswani, which emphasizes character-building and spiritual unfolding.
We hope the Gurukul will help lay the foundation for your children to live a very wholesome and happy life!
The Gurukul classes hosted by Sadhu Vaswani Centers across the globe draw inspiration from Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani's belief that children are the greatest treasures of humanity. These classes were introduced few years ago, with a view to harmonize the holistic development of the children's personalities. Held at weekends at various centres in India and overseas, these classes add the much needed value-based component to the children's education, thereby channelizing their energy into positive thoughts and constructive action, so that they may evolve into confident and well-balanced individuals.
This volume follows the classic ideal of education, to combine delight with instruction. Children will draw inspiration from the carefully chosen stories; they will learn to absorb and apply good values in their own daily activities. They will be encouraged to participate in meaningful group activities, enact scenes from the lives of great ones and play games that help them to experience these values practically. We have also added a new component of self-development incorporating physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
Sadhu Vaswani Gurukul has its roots in the Mira Movement in Education founded by Sadhu Vaswani, with its emphasis on character-building and spiritual moulding.
