Bhagavan Sridhara Swami the incarnation of Lord Dattatreya wrote many works in many languages to uplift the common man rid with mundane problems. This book is the english translation of Guru Vani published in Kannada from Sri Sridhara Mahamandala, Sri Sridharashrama, Sagar. For the proper understanding of Guru Vani, one should know the significance of the terms like Guru, Ananda, Bhava, Samsara and so on and hence I have tried to explain those terms in the Vedantic perspective.

I am highly grateful to all the Board of Trustees of Sri Sridhara Mahamandala and especially to Sri Sridhara Rao who evinced keen interest in this book and readily agreed to publish it.

I am beholden to Sri B. Nageshappa a great devotee of Bhagavan Sridhara Swami, a philanthropist, a Chartered Accountant and my well-wisher who introduced me to Sri Sridhara Rao.
