Preface Since my school days, reading has remained my only pleasure and steadily writing evolved as passtime. In this process, I have been indulging in the realm of scribblings on any or every subjects with all humbleness at my command, I am to narrate that many a pieces of my writings got spaces in important papers including The Hindustan Times, The Sunday Standards, The Tribune, The Indian Express, The Hindu and The Patriot. Needless to mention that a large number of write-ups were rejected and returned with usual regrets and regards from the editors. A regular journal dedicated to social causes from New Delhi, carried my articles regularly and it was no other than the 'Better life' of the Servants of People Society. It has been an unsatiable desire of my readers and well-wishers to present some of them in book form and hence is the publication of this book; Grow More Good. The caption as such is given to the opening chapter of this book which relates to my visit to Sobha Singh's Art Gallery-Cum- residence at Andretta in Kangra. I was immensely impressed by this slogan. My journey from student day to retirement has encompassed several works of diverse tastes and matters and some of them which were readily available have been included in this book. I am grateful to my publisher who were prompt enough to accept the publication under their banner and I am obliged to them for their friendly gesture. Lastly writing is not my profession. It is only a passion with me. My readers are the best judges to make appraisal, whether the blending of passion with profession is successful or not?
