To write a biography of Pantji for children was a chal lenge for me. For it is no mean task to pen a biography in a simple yet lucid style. Although a number of books have been written on this great personality, I felt that the requirements of children are different. That is the reason why I wanted my book to be easy to comprehend, authentic in content and at the same time fascinating for the young reader. Children don't read it merely as a biography but revere it as an authentic historical document. Therefore, to enhance its realistic dimensions, I personally visited all those places which were connected with Pantji's life.

A number of people supported me in this venture. I happened to meet great personalities and scholars, like the poetess Mahadevi Verma, Smt. Vijayalakshmi Pandit, Shri Umashankar Dixit and Shri Kamlapati Tripathi who gave me their free and frank opinions. I troubled Shri Krishnachandra Pant as well as Smt. Ila Pant a number of times. But the project could not have completed without the blessings and unrelenting support of Shri G.L. Bansal, Secretary, Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant Smarak Samiti. Therefore, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of them. If children happen to like and appreciate this book I would consider my venture successful.
