Besides a long and detailed general introduction in the Preface, each chapter is preceded by an exhaustive prologue on the theme of the chapter with cross references to verses in different chapters and with quotes from the Upanisads and the wise sayings of Sri Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda et al.
