Gems of Panegyrics & Felicitations comprising 51 poems, memoirs, reminiscences and tributes is a tender felicitation by a friend Prof. Jagdish Sahai Kulshreshtha, and two disciples Prof. Sushma Kulshreshtha and Dr. Abha Kulshreshtha offered to their venerable Guru Padmashri Prof. A.P. Mishra, a great Doyen of Indian Philosophy, Sanskrit and Indology. Cascade I : Abhinandana-Kadambakam opens with a beautiful bouquet of colourful flowers in the form of a Panegyricon comprising nineteen eulogical and laudatory poems in Sanskrit and English by renowned poets of India, viz., Prof. Ram Karan Sharma, Prof. Prabhakar Narayan Kawthekar, Prof. Jaymant Mishra, Prof. Vidhata Mishra, Prof. Rasaraj Jayadev Jani, Prof. Pushpa Dixit, Prof. Ayodhya Prasad Singh, Prof. Uma Deshpande, Dr. Ramakant Shukla, Dr. Umaraman Jha and Dr. Mithila Prasad Tripathi showered upon their esteemed friend and Guru Prof. A.P. Mishra. Then follows a Sumanomilti, a flower-garland in the form of twentysix memoirs, reminiscences and trubutes penned down by very eminent associates, scholars, friends, admirers and disciples, viz., Padmashri Prof. Sumati Mutatkar, Smt. Kamlesh Kumari Kulshreshtha, Prof. Shridhar Vasishtha, Prof. Sanghasen Singh, Prof. Pushpendra Kumar, Prof. S.P. Singh, Prof. S.G. Kantawala, Prof. Shakuntala Mullick, Prof. Jagdish Sahai Kulshreshtha, Prof. Chandralcant Shulda, Prof. Aruna Mohan and Dr. Kamla Dube. This Vagayantimairi in the form of 51 eulogical and laudatory compositions is being presented to Padmashri Prof. A.P. Mishra on the auspicious occasion of his 90th birth anniversary on Caitra Krsna T.rtiyo, the 10th March, 2012. These compositions bring out several characteristics of his personality and his vast contribution to the field of Sanskrit and Indology. Adyriprasadamigra-Yatobhitsapi paints a marvellous picture of the golden life of a Saint philosopher and scholar Padmashri Prof. A.P. Mishra. This Festschrift is full of zeal and fervour, inspiring and encouraging, and will prove useful to veteran Sanskritists and Indologists, and budding penmen, researchers and students too alike.
