At that time the University used to make the syllabus of P according to itself. The subjects of anatomy, physiology Pathology, pharmacology. Rachana-sharira, Kriya- Dravyaguna, Ras-shastra and Basic Principals were taught years, CCIM had prepared and implemented uniform syllabus first year after many year the country which is being applied till this day even after the establishment of at present, PC Shalakya first year syllabus includes one paper of Research Methodology second paper of Preliminary Shalakya-tantra. Surprisingly, even after 40 years have elapsed since the commencement of PC Shalakya degree course, no book was available as per the syllabus. Due to the same, PG students are facing many problems during their study period. It is the duty of a teacher to facilitate the path of the study Along with good teaching and practical training availability of appropriate books paves the way for the students. The book "Gateway of Shalakya Surgery" is a foundation stone and much remains to be done after this.
