One fine evening Ghanshyam Desai, Editor of 'Navneet-Samparpan' magazine, insisted that I write a short Novel for his magazine. Had he not insisted, I would not have been able to put forward my ideas. Which were for quite some time churning in my mind. And this novel would not have seen the light of the day. Usually the rule prevailed with the format of the magazine was that a short novel has to be written in three chapters. But they tolerated my irregularities and printed the novel in six chapters. Because of this liberty. I was able to write exactly I had meant to write, and for giving me this liberty and tolerating my irregularities. I am very much indebted to them.
I was also very much moved on receiving the letters from the readers when this novel was being serialised in 'Navneet Samarpan.
I am also indebted to the Editor of 'Fulchhab', Shri Hasmukh Sanghani, for publishing this novel in his paper, and introducing me to the readers of Saurashtra.
This Novel is a satire on the contemporaneous society, in the centre of which, you, I, and everybody are present. We all are, to a lesser extent or greater extent, responsible for the situation we are in. In all of us lies a sincere and honest person like Karunashankar Master and there are people anxiously waiting and wanting to corrupt and immortalise such a man and crush him in this atmosphere.
But, till such time that our Nation is aware, we need not fear and get frustrated.
