The title of this book GANAPATHI EXISTS OR NOT? is a question to the readers of this book and to the devotees of Lord Ganapathi as also to me as a devotee as well as a research student engaged in finding out the absolute truth of the existence of Lord Ganapathi.

According to Ganapathya cult (a cult entirely devoted to Lord Ganapathi) at the end of last PRALAYA (a great deluge), which destroyed the Universe, a powerful sound of ॐ (Om) resounded the universe. Then followed a light and from that light appeared Lord Ganapathi, who called the Trinity-Brahmaa, Vishnu and Rudra- Shiva (not Shiva) and first asked Brahmaa to undertake the function of creations, then Vishnu was given the task of maintenance of the creations so created by Brahmaa, and at last Rudra was asked to destroy the creations of Brahmaa when it had lived its stipulated time.
