The book titled "Future of Education: Bridging the Digital Divide' presents fifteen articles highlighting the ever-important issue of the future of education and how the digital divide between the student and teachers are impacting the entire teaching-learning space. Additionally, the articles offer a mixed bag of issues ranging from ancient Indian education ethos to NEP 2020. This book also explains that in the quest to emulate traditional colonial models, the quotient of happiness in learning is gradually withering away.
Debarshi Mukherjee is an alumnus of Visva Bharati, Santiniketan, and Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan. He is a Professor and Head of the Department of Business Management, Tripura University. He has established the state's first business in cubator fully funded by the Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India. His research interest lies in developing blended learning models and ICT intervention in tertiary education, ensuring learning continuity. Besides teaching and academic administration, he has worked extensively in curricula design and Innovative Andragogy Development over the last two decades, with over 100 publications. He has delivered over 100 invited talks and participated in television and radio shows on various contemporary issues. He writes popular articles for newspapers and news portals regularly.
He has recently published a book titled Rural Livelihood Development in Tripura: An MGNREGS Experience and an edited volume titled Purvottaran - The Rise of North East: Paradigms of Development in the VUCA World and both were foreworded by the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Govt. of Tripura.
