This report on sociological study of Female Foeticide in Punjab is the outcome of the direction Hs Excellency. General (retd.) S.F. Rodrigues, Governor Punjab and Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. I wish to acknowledge my hearty appreciation and gratitude to his highness for showing his deep and timely concern for saving civilization of Punjab.

My warm regards are to my worthy teachers who have taught me the 'know how' of the work.

My sincere regards for the worthiness of Dr. S.P. Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar who reposed his faith and entrusted me with this assignment of social cause and provided all the needed support to accomplish the task.
