India initiated the process of economic reforms in 1991 in response to the changes in the external and internal economic environment. The objective of this book is to provide a computational analysis of the impact of WTO policies in the trade barriers on the economic welfare, trade and the intersectoral allocation of resources in Indian agriculture & rural sector. The study analyzes the causes that are responsible for the sluggish growth of the exports on one hand and the factors that bring an expansion in exports an imperative necessity for the Indian economy The study focusses on the other areas like food security & price reformulation of agricultural products and their marketing in the global market.
