I am highly pleased to get a copy of 'The Divine Verses' by Golam Mostofa Mondal B. A., B. Ed. (an Assistant Teacher of Negun D. B. Vidyamandir.)

I have gone through the copy and read the verses and quotations from different sources. The religious- minded people will highly appreciate this and derive great benefit from the observations and comments made in this connection.

The comparative study of different sacred books and scriptures is a treasure no doubt.

I shall be happy if the publication is widely circulated and discussed.

I thank the author again and again for his laborious collections and remarks.

Without having a brilliant academic carrier, literary genious, sense in science, politics and in religion, I am a petty school teacher like to write something about the order of Khomeni. Some writers. leaders refer to the right of writing, speaking in Democracy. But is there no yard stick to measure the freedom of speaking and writing in Democracy? Does democracy mean to make a way of crossing one's lawn without one's consent in order to reach the destination in short time or to comment any ugly comment against a person? The misinterpretation of Democracy must throw the human to the primitive stages again. The support in favour of any ugly writing indicates the revelation of animality among the mankind. It is quite obvious now-a-days that the revelation of animality among the major portion of people prevents the rest from realising what literature is? At present do we judge the style, language of literature? Do we judge what literature is ?

Literature is the expression of life, in a word 'truth and beauty'. Literature preserves the ideals of the human beings- the ideals, love, faith, friendship. It continues race after race. The writings which inspire the mankind to injure the sentiment of a community is not a literature at all. Literature is the sky where all thoughts and ways remain togetherly, it is the only sky where different ideas and ideals co-exist. The literature can make a garden of flowers of thoughts and ideals, harmonize the different ideas and ideals. Humanity, human rights, world peace may be established by means of literature.
