Dinoo Bhai Pant is considered by many as a poet of the poor, the deprived and the exploited class. He was a leading poet of the literary movement and was in the forefront of the struggle of Dogri for its rightful place. His writings have considerably influenced contemporary and later Dogri writers. Dinoo Bhai Pant has authored six books and has edited two anthologies and was also the editor of Sheeraza (Dogri). Om Goswami was Editor of Nami Chetana, Sheeraza (Dogri). Sheeraza (Hindi) and Jot. He is the author of several books including Neh Te Pote, Nehre Da Samundar, Sunne Di Chiree (short stories), Bal Ekanki (one-act plays). Parakh Te Partal (criticism), Dinoo Bhai Pant (monograph), Pal Khin (novel) and Sarad Aag (in Hindi). He is a recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award (1986), the Central Hindi Directorate Award (1988-89) and five prizes from the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages. Nilamber Dev Sharma was Lecturer in English in Kaivana (UP) and in 1961 he was deputed to J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and later appointed as its Secretary. His literary works consist of travelogues, short stories, essays, translations and histories of literature. He was honoured with the Padmashri in 2013.
