Preface
It is nothing but the grace of the divine mother Kameswari that prompted my Nadananda Tirtha to assign me the stupendous task of writing a preface to his latest work on HRIM THRISHATHI.
Sri Swamiji who is famous throughout the Saadhaka Loka as Srividya kulaagraja, needs no special introduction. Innocent as a child and insightful as the ancient “drashtas”, he is perhaps one of the greatest exponents of Srividya ever since the little known Upanishad Bramhayogin, to whom we owe the commentaries to the “Sakta Upanishads”. He has undoubtedly inherited e spirit and zeal and also the fertile imagination apart from the incisive intellect of the “Dravida sishu” : Sri Adishankara and it is not a mere incidence that he also hails from the same land as Sri Sankara viz the keralam.
In the earlier works, “Secrets of Matruka Yantras” and “Secrets of Sri Chakra” Swamijee had a starting point and pursued it relentlessely with unswerving devotion and deep contemplation during when he had visions high he translated into images of colours and lines with a crystal clear legend and geometrical illustrations.
Of all mantras Shodasi and Panchadasi are two in which the name of the deity doesn’t find a mention and Srichakra is the one yantra conspicious by the absence of any Beejakshara or the seed syllable in it.
In the latest present work, Swamijee has dished out a spiritual feast to the sadhaka Loka. His choice was Hrimakara Thrishati.
HRIM is the seed syllable of mother Bhuvaneswari. SAKTHYAKSHARANI SESHANI, HRIMKARA UBHAYATHMA KAHA (Bramhananda purana) Whereas other seed syllables relate to Sakthi only, HRIMKARA is SIVA SAKTHYATMAKA i.e., relates to both Siva and Sakthi.
The revelations that have been given graphalogical form are not visions, but experiences. Shri Swamijee is very particular about the reader being aware of this. It was in a state of “SAVIKALPA SAMADHI” or “Bhava Samadhi” that Shri swamijee experienced these graphic representations - shape, symmetry, colours and all. It can be described as in “VISMAYO YOGA BHUMIKA”.
These graphical representations are not symmetrical pictures, but Yantras with KAMESWARA & KAMESWARI on either side of the vertical line of Symmetry. Any discerning reader (Observer) can carefully observe and spot the Yantra too.
When pressed persistently swamijee said that his choice of HRIM THRISHATI was both strategic and ulilitarian; for Lalitha Sahasra naama & Lalitha Thrishati have been over worked upon by several people and this HRIM THRISHTHI needs the present treatment.
HRIM Consists of
/ha/-- which stands for jagradavastha (wakeful state)
/ha/- stands for swapnavastha (dream)
/I/- stands for Sushupthyavastha
/m/-- stands for Thuriya Bhava Samadhi
The /ha/ between /ra/ & /i/ stands for Kameswara & Kameswari. The /m/ is the sound of Bhramara or the sound one makes when practising Bhramari Pranayama.
The Thuriya Anubhava happens above the Rudragrandhi over and above the Agna Charka.
“These experiences”, assure swamijee, “can be had by anyone who goes into contemplation on the mantra below the Yantra given in three scripts Devanagiri, English and Telugu; but it should be done under the guidance of a Srividya guru, preferably a poornabhishikta.
This promise has been there for all the works of Sri Swamijee and the present writer is an example of one who verified some of the matruka yantras.
