Book Description

Introduction There seems to be a growing acceptance among the Hindus these days about the religious values & practices enunciated in Hindu religion & that knowledge about the Hindu scriptures is necessary to be known. Accordingly some study groups have also started functioning to bring about this understanding. However the conveners of these study groups themselves seems to be not very clear as to the scheme of study to be adopted & hence some of them had approached me for guidance. It was their opinion that a suitable guide book in this connection would solve the problem. It is because of such circum-stances that this first book was written titled as "Marina Meemamsa". As an extension to this book, the manuscript for the next book has also been prepared, titled as "Karma Meemamsa". If found useful, it can also be published.

The Hindu scriptures are all written in Sanskrit language. The students of today as well as the teachers are not well versed in Sanskrit. Therefore in order to acquaint them with our scriptures, translations in popular languages will be very useful. This book has been written with such an intension. In this first book 12 chapters have been given.
