Book Description
About the Book

Is one with good health and wealth blessed? Is not one with name and fame blessed? Does not one who has fulfilled his worldly duties and lives in beauty blessed? The eight verses of Dhanyastakam explain that being one with our infinite blissful nature is indeed a state of true blessedness.

Swami Tejomayananda's commentary makes us long to be in the company of such blessed souls and experience directly the blessed state.

Preface

This beautiful composition of Bhagavan Adi Sankaracarya in eight verses (astakam) explains who the really blessed people of this world are (dhanyah).

Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda spoke on these verses in U. S. A. The talks were recorded and later on meticulously transcribed and edited by sincere seekers as their labour of love. Their efforts were further blessed by the gracious words of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji.

Several editions of this book were printed again and again due to public demand. It has also been translated into many languages. We feel blessed to bring out this redesigned version of these blessed verses.
