It was in 2006 that the Part-1 of Volume-1 of catalogue of Farmans pertaining to the Finance Secretariat for the period of 1901 A.D. was published.
In view of the great significance of the farmans and its huge demand by the Research Scholars, the Archives undertook the crucial work of cataloguing and printing the Farmans.
The Farmans of Mir Mahboob Ali Khan, Nizam the VI and Mir Osman Ali Khan Nizam VII are the narratives of the vast social political and cultural life of the dominion.
The present catalogue, (Vol.I, Part-II) comprising of 1865 farmans of Finance Secretariat Department during the year from 1910-1913 pertaining to the period of Mir Mahboob Ali Khan, Nizam the VI. The Volume I had been published in 2006 comprising of 1,825 Farmans.
Mir Mahboob Ali Khan Nizam VI after attaining the age of majority in 1884 had taken the state matters in his hands and directly supervised the finance matters and issued farman with his own signatures.
The farmans which are preserved in Archives reflect the substance of his personality and throw light on the administration socio-economic and socio-cultural conditions of the period.
The Nizam VI was very compassionate and his kind disposition made him cherished public figure. His contribution in developing cultural efflorescence and social emancipation is unmatchable.
I am sure that catalogue will give insight to Research Scholars for further research on the era.
