About the Book

This book, Intended for use as a daily companion and counsellor, compiles a selection of 366 thoughts, for every day of the year, by Sadhu T.L. Vaswani. His words ring with the simplicity of a child and the profundity of a sage.

The brevity of the thoughts selected highlights the need for contemplation, not excessive explanation.

The appendix contains 31 additional thoughts by great thinkers of East and West. Every thought is a force that can act as a magic carpet and lift you to realms of expanded spiritual consciousness.

Breakfast with God, it is hoped, will provide the reader with the wisdom and strength to perform the daily duties of life and bear the burdens of each day with cheerfulness and courage.

About the Author

Sadhu T.L. Vaswani- mystic, poet, philosopher, apostle of India's culture, educationalist, humanitar- ian was born in Hyderabad- Sind on November 25, 1879.

At the age of 30, he went to Berlin (Germany) as one of India's representatives to the Welt Congress, the World congress of Religions. He worked as Principal of three Colleges in Northern India. At the Age of 40, he resigned his lucrative job and dedicated himself to the service of God and Man.

In 1933, he founded the "Mira Movement in Education", which has, today, its headquarters at Pune. A number of educational and social welfare institutions started by him are working at Pune and other places. Their inspiration is in Vaswaniji's teaching that "service of the poor is worship of God."

The Sadhu Vaswani Mission, Pune- named after him has branches in different parts of India and abroad.

His teaching, in brief, is that in the love of God and the loving service of man is the secret of true life. He awakened many with his clarion call: "Build ye a bridge of brotherhood between East and West."
