A Boundless Moment is an English translation of Sahitya Akademi award- winning collection of Odia stories, Prapti which deals with eventualities of human fate, especially that of women. The stories in the collection are attempts to examine the deeper truths of life through subjectivizing the external realities. Range of factors such as multitude of themes, wonderful imagination, clarity in expression, deft usage of language and poetic narration, aid in racing up the work.
Paramita Satpathy (b. 1965) is an eminent Odia fiction writer and translator who writes prose, fiction and poetry in Odia and nonfiction in Odia and English. She has seven Odia story collections, three novels, one collection of novellas and one poetry collection to her credit. Her works have been extensively translated into various Indian languages. Besides the Sahitya Akademi Award, she has been the recipient of Odisha Sahitya Akademi Award, Bhartiya Bhasha Parishad Puraskar and Bhubaneswar Book Fair Award among others.
Snehaprava Das (bp, 1955) is a translator and poet. She has rendered several Odia classics, and the poetry collections of Pundit Gopabandhu Das in English. She has also translated the stories of Manoj Kumar Panda in English. She has two anthologies of English poetry to her credit.
