We, in our lives are fortunate to receive a sacred beam of light from ever-radiant pages of the Vedas. We are also blessed with a drop of nectar from the divine fountain of the Vedas. So ours is a privilege to enlighten and publicize this blessing far and wide. No person when he has lit a candle, put it in a secret place neither under a bushel.
The Veda is the most astounding production amidst world's stock of divine thought. It is as bulky in volume as it is varied in its contents. It has preserved immense wealth of thought in time and spread in space.
Our sages of yore were always engrossed in reciting the Vedas. Throughout the ages of Indian history, they preserved the massive literature by stupendous feats of memory. Blessed are those who never let it fade into oblivion.
This tradition gradually eroded in later times, During the medieval age, our society deviated significantly from the preaching of the Vedas. In this age, we look in vain the progressive attitude that elevated the immaculate fame of the Vedas. In fact, liberal code of conduct for women, unrestricted rules of occupation for all the people regardless of caste, creed and colour-such of the topics were given far greater emphasis in the Vedas than were ever contemplated by the society of medieval age.
