Professor Devahuti was a specialist in Ancient Indian and Early Southeast Asian History, and has taught at various universities in India and abroad.
The Indian History and Culture Society in its second session held at Delhi from 9-11, February, 1979, organised a seminar on the theme of Bias in Indian Historiography. Sixty one papers were presented of which fifty five appear in this volume.
