The present Second edition of the 'TEXTBOOK OF BHAISAJYA KALPANA' (Pharmaceutical Science in Ayurveda) is richer with conceptual and practical knowledge in comparison with the earlier edition. In this edition, the significant concepts of the book are discussed more elaborately along with their applied aspects. Manyconcepts are also trimmed in many areas to make the book more appealing and brief. All the changes in this edition are made keeping in mind the interests of the UG and the PG scholars and the most recent syllabus framed by CCIM.
The book may be categorized into three segments: First segment from first to fourthchapter has history & the fundamentals of this science. Second segment from fifth to forty-first chapters has all the pharmaceutical preparations with their explanations and typical examples. In addition, the third segment from forty-second to fiftieth chapter deals about the modern aspects of the pharmaceutical preparations.
First two segments remain crucial for both UG & PG scholars. Third segment will be an additional knowledge for UG students but again essential for PG scholars. This book is going to be a useful quick-referral guide to the 'pharmaceutical companies', 'general practitioners' and to everyone in the field, especially to learned teachers, postgraduates, under graduates and the students appearing for PG entrance examinations.
