All the scriptures declare that Bhakti is the only means to attain God, but it is also said,
(Ramayana) "In the age of Kali Yuga, neither yoga, nor japa, nor austerity nor abstinence, nor Vedic rituals, nor fasting, nor worship can take you to your goal; it is only through sankirtana that one can attain God."
Reading these two statements one gets confused. Actually very few people know the significance of sankirtana and that is why this confusion arises. We should practise sankirtana with a feeling that Shri Radha Krishna are personally present in Their sweet names, it is only then that we can taste the nectar of Divine Love through sankirtana.
