It advocates Krishna’s doctrine of doing one’s duty without coveting any reward. One can be spiritually benefited by meditating and contemplating on the Gita. All of one’s doubts are removed and one can attain even God by following the gospels of the Gita.
Preface
There is no gain-saying that the Bhagavad Gita contains the divine words, directly emanating from the lips of Lord Shri Krishna. Its glory is infinite. The great scholars all over the world, have declared the Gita as an epitome of all the holy Scriptures. It contains the essence of all the four Vedas. It embodies the supreme spiritual truth as well as many unfathomed mysteries.
The divine Sage Veda Vyasa says : “The Gita alone should be sung, heard, recited, studied, taught, pondered and assimilated properly and well” (Mahabharata Bhisma Parva 43.1).
Some critics consider the Gita far superior to the holy Ganga River and the Gayatri Mantra. This book is an unfathomable ocean of wisdom. It is the main fountain-head of inspiration to all the people who become dumb-founded and inactive like Arjuna in the battle of the Mahabharata. The Gita leads all its devoted readers towards the self-realization or the supreme deliverance from the worldly bondage by following the unique paths of ‘Knowledge’, ‘Worship’ and ‘Action’. The devoted readers of the Gita attain perfect bliss, purity of mind and ultimate union or ‘Symbiosis’ with God.
The Dreamland Publishers are presenting the Bhagavad Gita in a very simple and elegant style for the benefit of the young readers. The beauty of the book has been enhanced by the captivating pictures, painted by their famous artist, Mr. N. K. Vikram who has clarified the theme of the Gita effectively.
It is hoped that this book will do the greatest good to the greatest number of people in the world.
