Our aim is to nourish children's love for Krishna, so they find so much taste and happiness in being a devotee, that they feel inspired to choose and follow the path of bhakti.

As a second generation devotee, I learned that I still had to make the choice to join the movement, instead of taking my "devotee identity" as a given. Whether born into it or not, the seed of bhakti within our hearts needs to be watered with love, care, and positive experiences in Krishna consciousness.

I am forever grateful to my spiritual master-His Holiness Jayapataka Swami-my parents and the loving Vaishnavas in my life who have nurtured my bhakti seed. My childhood memories of being engaged in devotional service, like playing one of Rama's monkeys in a drama, going on safari with my spiritual master, dressing my first Deities, or learning Nadia Godrume on the harmonium, have firmly convinced me that this life in Krishna consciousness is the best! Their guidance and these wonderful experiences deeply ingrained in my heart have allowed me to say that I have found love and beauty in being a devotee of Krishna. The decision to join the movement was the easiest one I have ever made.

After graduating from high school, I joined the Congregational Development Ministry (CDM) and, following a request from my Gurumaharaja, the Ministry established the Bhakti Kids department-which I took up as my service. This confirmed my purpose in Srila Prabhupada's movement, and my goal became sharing these gems of bhakti and infusing children's lives with fun Krishna conscious experiences.

The vision of Bhakti Kids is to support congregations worldwide in implementing children's programs where children feel a sense of belonging, love, and happiness within the movement. Through fun Krishna conscious experiences we aim to nurture their taste in devotional service. My conviction is that when their time comes such engagement will inspire them to choose, "Yes, I want to be Your devotee."

This book is part of a series designed to systematically help children learn and practise Krishna consciousness in a fun way. I hope you find it a useful resource to engage and inspire children in their Krishna conscious journey. I pray this book will be a valuable contribution to Srila Prabhupada's mission of sharing the beauty and ecstasy of serving Krishna.
