The Yogis of India have been torchbearers of the Spiritual Hindu dharma and mystic culture for cons. Through the power of Yoga, ancient Rishis (sages) have performed unbelievable miracles in search of mukti (ultimate truth or salvation). The 20th century witnessed an earth-shattering spectacle when two great young Yogis - Bhagwan Balayogi (Sri Pedda Balayogi) and Balayogi the Junior (Sri Chinna Balayogi) shunned food and water and sat on Yoga Tapasya (mediation) for decades. Bhagwan Balayogi was born on 23.10.1930 in a village called Mummidivaram (Andhra Pradesh, India). The world stood aghast and surrendered in devotion when He embarked upon a path of Yoga Tapasya on 22.06.1946 at a tender age of fifteen and continued until His Mahanirvana (Great End) on 19.07.1985 for a whole 39 years without food, water or movement. In the footprints of his Master, his brother Balayogi the Younger too started Tapasya when he was mere eight years old on 16.02.1950 and continued Tapas for 42 years. Both the great Balayogis have done this greatest miracle in the full public view of millions of devotees giving public darshan every year on the day after Maha Shivarathri festival.

Polamuri Sampath Rao, a staunch devotee himself, has dwelled into great depths to unravel the Yogic mysteries in his two books of "Miracles of Yoga series" - 1) Message of Bhagwan Balayogi, 2) Balayogi the Junior, in the footprints of his Master. In the first book, the author elucidated in detail the life history and divine message of Bhagwan. Balayogi (Tattvopadesa or philosophical inculcations) which he himself gave to three great devotees on 27.3.1949. In this second book, Mr Rao focuses on the life of Balayogi the Junior, the way he assimilated the Tattvopadesa, deciphered how an eight- year-old boy embarked on a 42-year long voyage of Tapas and analyses its impact on humanity. Nowhere in the spiritual or religious history of the world, so young a boy of eight years age ever lived in samadhi for so long a time of 15,300 days (42 years) without food, speech or movement as our Balayogi the Junior (Chinna Balayogi) of Mummidivaram, East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India. Never in history a yogi in transcendental meditation descended down into the terrestrial sphere and gave public darshan (appearance) once a year for 24 hours so as to awaken humanity towards Divinity and remind the short liven affair of life on Earth. The Infinite Divinity over our heads precipitated itself as godman by living in Union with God and publicly demonstrated how God is like.

This book is a greatest challenge to all spiritual aspirants as it deals with the basic biological necessaries of physical body and how those physical limitations were overpowered by yogic power. An honest attempt was made to compare Balayogi The Junior with the spiritual luminaries of the world and this comparative study is in no way intended to degrade those beloved spiritual stars of the world.

Balayogi the Junior - the Modern spiritual diamond of India - proved and demonstrated beyond all reasonable doubt that Great Dream of our Modern Scientists like Dr. Daniel I. Iron and Dr. Robert F. Bacher of the U.S.A. Atomic Commission who said, "The day will be nearer when man can devise his own photosynthesis by capturing the energy of Sun and reduce the age old dependence on green plants for food and energy". Balayogi for the first time brought great honour to the Spiritual Heritage of India.

"Devotion, in men is a celestial secret". Sri Balayogi is my Great and Divine Master. In spite I am living 12,000 kilometers away from the small and unknown village of Mummidivaram.

In 1991, I have been lucky enough to see for the last time, His unique disciple: Sri Chinna Balayogi - just before he gave up His physical appearance.

Everything is said in the present great book about Him.

For my part here, I can only say about my great devotion to Sri Balayogi and Chinna Balayogi.

Sri Balayogi became my spine, my aim in life and ultimate protection.

The divine love that bounds me to Him is printed forever in my heart and I am conscious that all the best of my life comes from Him.

One day in 1977, in a Pondicherry's street, a friend told me the story Then I got a single aim: to go to Mummidivaram, and see Swamiji! I have founded my Supreme Guru.

Mr Rao says in this important book that the realization of Sri Balayogi and Chinna Balayogi is beyond the written things - a pure and strong spiritual achievement: there is no room for spoken words in such a level of consciousness!

This is precisely the strongest point to me. We are in front of the absolute purity facing the humanity in its whole pain, fragility and ignorance.

Around him, there are no dogmas, no religion, no discourse, no business but we always can find there the water of the well and the offered food in His temple during the Maha Shivaratri festival, and all types of human beings - from the most humble up to the noblest, without any distinction of nationalities, races, religions, castes, etc.

The largest open-heartedness which overcomes any dissension or disagreement but leads to the sense of Unity. As said so nicely by Sri Ramakrishna: 'Ignorance leads to division and knowledge to Unity'. By seeing Sri Balayogi, my sense of ego melted; All what is not essential flew away like absorbed by the temple's floor. His presence reveals our divine nature. The inner being of my mind was like sucked, swallowed by the power of His Energy.

If you ask any question to Balayogi he turns you a mirror back: you can find the answer within yourself.... And what to say about His way in protecting His devotees? I have the very precise sensation of enjoying permanently His attention. He is omniscient, omnipresent, beyond all human restrictive concepts.
