Book Description
About the Author

From 1996 onwards, she has been conducting discourses (in Telugu) to the people desirous of salvation at Visakhapatnam (A.P, India) and other places. She has completed 30 batches of discourses, each consisting of 2 to 3 months. Her speeches (in Telugu) are recorded in audio, 6 vols (Mp3) for 60 hrs and also in video, 12 vols (DVDs) for 79 hrs and are available for the aspirants.
She has also composed 'Atmadarsini' vol 2 in Telugu consisting about seven hundred pages, on the practical observance of Atmadarsini vol 1.
I hope that the readers of Atmadarsini are well versed with her compositions Jnanasudha (Classical Kirtanas in Telugu on the essence of Atmadarsini, wich are recorded in her voice), and Manasabrindavanam (the Sangeeta Kavyam, consisting of thirty songs, which is recorded in her voice).
She has also composed a book on contemplation, following with an Album, consisting of photographs on meditation.
She has undertaken the project of composing Atmadarsini in English volumes to dispense the knowledge to the remaining world other than Telugu. Volume 3 is now under progress.

Preface

Purpose of the treatise :- To the mankind of the twenty first century, this treatise of "Theology' is a guide. This book is a ray of peace to the people, who wander mechanically in the wheel of destiny, who utilise their entire physical and mental abilities merely to earn their livelihood and are unable to think of 'salvation' even in their dreams. By visiting the preceptors, serving them, studying the knowledge of Self, practicing the means of accomplishment such as Yoga of Action, Yoga of Devotion, Yoga of Knowledge, Yoga of Un-mindedness, Kriya Yoga, Raja Yoga and so forth, who cannot dedicate their lives for the final emancipation, to those unfortunate, this composition is a bestowed of salvation. To the aspirants who are unaware of the destination, this book is the destination. To the practisers, who have not gained the maturity of knowledge, this treatise is an exhortation. To the practisers, who have not found the perfect preceptor, this book is a perfect preceptor. To those unfortunate, who are bereft of refuge, and are being drifted in the ocean of mundane existence, this treatise is a boat of knowledge. To the ignorant, who are struggling in the darkness, without being endowed with the awareness of the destination, this book is a path of light. To those wise men, who are subjected to the impression of Sastra, having learnt innumerable Sastras during whole of their life time, but not being endowed with the knowledge of destination, and are roaming like mad ones in the forest of scriptural knowledge; and also to those scholars, who fall in the forest of multitude of vocabulary and grammatical analysis, without being endowed with the knowledge of direction and destination, and are subjected to the delusion of the mind; this composition is a path of flowers that can easily make them arrive at the destination.
Life itself is the practice :- The mankind of today's computer age, who are endowed with discriminative mind, active intellect, dedication to work, perseverance, dexterity, reasoning capacity, discriminative knowledge, ingeniousness of attaining more recompense with less exertion and so on are merely investing their total abilities only for earning their livelihood. Such unfortunate people cannot move aside even for a single inch from their daily routine. They cannot withhold their routine even for a single minute. The substantial object of this treatise is to write (to present to the mankind) all the established paths of practice duly redesigned, to raise up such bounded Jivas, who are endowed with an expertness of intellect, enabling them reach the destination while travelling in their life path, bearing their life burden itself, without renouncing their routine lifestyle, without even changing their daily routine and with no necessity of any particular practice. The chief intention of this book is to recompose the Sastras making them convenient and present to the mankind, so that the material life and the spiritual practice may mix with each other just as the milk with the water, without undermining and renouncing the scientific ways prescribed by Sastras.
An entire, abbreviated, and consolidated form: - The scriptural knowledge is remaining deposited in several compositions in the world. In every kalpa and in every yuga, sages have been composing the scriptural knowledge to render to the mankind. But all that knowledge is a gleam of Sanskrit. Even the rendered compositions into the regional languages are also beyond the comprehension of the common man. For the last two to three decades, the scriptural knowledge is being rendered through small sized books in various languages. But the detailed discussion on the entire Sastra is rare in them. The reader can never be capable of determining himself, whether all the books and all the topics are read by him or not, which book is to be read first and which next and in which order. Many books are dealing with many topics but no book is dealing the entire Sastra needed for emancipation.

Preface Vol-2

The total volumes of 'Atmadarsini' should be considered as a single unit. Merely for the sake of convenient handling only, it is divided into volumes. The preface is introduced in the first volume itself. Still I would like to disclose the details of the topics dealt in this volume No 2.
In the early part of 'Sadhana', a detailed discussion on the eight fold steps of Kriya yoga is done. Further, the benefits of Kriya yoga and the practicability of this yoga in this age of Kali are also discussed in this volume.
Next, the course of action of Taraka yoga, the benefits and the practicability of Taraka yoga in this age of Kali are discussed in this volume.
The yoga of Samkhya, the qualities of the spiritual preceptor as well as the spiritual disciple are dealt in this volume.
The necessary discussions on the topics of the Yoga of action, such as the mode of action, the principles of the Yoga of action, the good deeds, worships and religious vows, the bondage of action, the results of actions, viz. Agami, Samchita and Prarabdha; the assistance of the action to the salvation, the necessity of the action, the sacrifices, the significance of the renunciation of the results of the actions, the significance of one's own duty, the actions - results and expiations; is done evidently and authentically in this volume.
An elaborate exposition on the Yoga of devotion, viz. the significance of the devotion, the necessity of the devotion, the stages of devotion, viz. the common devotion, the ideal devotion and the eminent devotion; the qualities of the perfect devotee, the personal and impersonal devotion, the Tamasic, Rajasic and Sattvic devotion and the like is rendered in this volume.
