At the Feet of the Master describes and explains healing teachings of Gautama, the Buddha contained in the Vai Sajya Guru Sutra. These sutras were translated into Chinese in the third century and later into Japanese.
The Reiki cuniform relating to Japanese and Chinese characters are derivatives of this very Sutra. Only the adept can empower the technique to practise methods of healing based on this Sutra. The book provides a bird's eye-view based entirely on ancient understandings which can also be received from the throne holder of the teachings down the ages.
Madabusi Subramaniam, affectionately called M.S. Mani, got initiated by Maharishi Bharadwaj on aashad poornima as predicted by palm leaf readers of southern India. Later, he was initiated into Kriya Yoga by Sathya Charan Lahiri, grandson of Lahiri Mahasaya, the guru's guru of Paramahansa Yoga- nanda. A Reiki master and spiritual teacher, he has written two books: Unveiling the Secrets of Reiki and Brilliant Light (shaking the established ideas about Reiki) and a translation of a Bengali version of the Bhagvad Gita into English that defied ideas about Kriya Yoga.
"AT THE FEET OF THE MASTER" is the record of all wisdom I gathered, practised and realised by the grace of my Master.
I went to an astrologer who read an ancient palm leaf manuscript on astrology. I had asked him about my mission and my meeting a Shiva Guru.
Astrologer read out that on a specific year, in the third solar month, on a particular Lunar day coinciding with full moon, I shall meet my Shiva Guru at the place of Mahabharata war (Kurukshetra) under a tree. The astrologer also read out from the leaf that particular day will be very hot till I meet my Guru and then weather will suddenly become cloudy, resulting in heavy down pour and thunder storm and the whole area will be cool, lovely and full of life.
This prediction was given six months prior to the exact day when I was supposed to meet my Guru. The whole incident exactly happened as read out by the astrologer from the palm leaf. I spent a lot of time with the Master, received his wisdom and guidance and practised for a long time and experienced the truth of wisdom taught to me. Before his exit from this plane, my Master asked me if I had any doubt regarding the attainment of 'Braham Gyan' and blessed me to give the teaching to others. After this, within five days he departed from this plane.
