Pranab Bandyopadhyay (b. 1925) obtained his M.A. in 'Modern Indian Languages' from Calcutta University in 1949; has been widely published in India and abroad; his biography has been included in 'International Who's Who in Poetry' and 'Men of Achievement' published by the International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England, and also in 'Who's Who of Indian Writers' published by Sahitya Academy, India has been broadcasting from All India Radio for more than 35 years; and was awarded D. Litt. (Honoris Causa) in 1980.
