In 2001, he studied the Indian tabla in Varanasi under his respected teacher Vikas Tripathi along with Kailash Nath Mishra (son of Pt. Samta Prasad) and in 2003, he earned a Diploma in Classical Indian Tabla. In order to extend his knowledge about the music and culture of the Indus Valley Civilisation, he travelled to neighbouring Pakistan, where he met with the musicians of the ‘Darbar Data Ganj Bhakhsh’ in Lahore and visited the ancient cities of Harappa and Mohenjodaro.
Srdjan Beronja travelled thousand of kilometers through the Indian subcontinent, the Balkans and the Middle East, where he researched on musical instruments, various forms of music and the culture of three regions. His work includes concerts, performances, presentation of music and culture, writings and teaching the tabla.
The section range from general knowledge about Indian music, percussion instruments and sound to Vedic theory of Indian rhythms, the manufacture, maintenance and tuning techniques of the tabla.

Srdjan Beronja is a Serbia percussionist who plays the darabuka and is a follower of the Varanasi Gharana style of the Indian tabla. His work includes concerts, teaching the tabla, writing on, as well as the presentation, of music and culture of various regions.
