I dedicate this work to my parents to whom I owe this life. Throughout my life, I could not fully know what my parents were expecting of me. I only realized when I stepped into their shoes and could realize their feelings when I hit the crossroads of age and maturity. And by that time, it was too late. They had given me everything and I had no way of repaying them. Life is like that. I was always fascinated by life itself; it has been a great teacher and inspiration throughout my journey, directing me towards the essence of life and not the world. I have been introspecting the larger meaning of life since childhood. Later, my practice of meditation opened many areas of understanding about life. Over the years, my mind had become a storehouse of experiences and wisdom. For quite some time, I have had an urge to talk about this. My initial idea of a book started sometime in 2015 when I started putting together a structure. I was never a writer and could never imagine completing a literary piece of work. But I had decided the title of the book before I even wrote the first word, and I precisely knew what I wanted to say. All this time, I was hoping that someone will come forward to help me in compilation. But when I looked at the content, it became clear that I would be the only one who could do justice to the task. After all, how could someone else interpret or explain that was boiling in my mind? The impact of the Covid19 pandemic started in February/ March 2020, and cities were facing lockdowns. We were forced to stay home most of the time. In an endeavor to keep ourselves in a good frame of mind my daughter Anuradha encouraged me to pursue some creative work like painting, etc., and I tried that. My work on the canvas was as miserable as I had expected. But while doing that exercise, I contemplated seriously about writing the book. I was sure that I would do better justice playing with words than with the brush. By the middle of April, I was fully committed to it and completed it in early 2021. Later, my daughters, Anuradha and Chavi, helped me in polishing it for a better finish.
