Born in a country far from the city which she would make her home, Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu dreamt of coming to Calcutta to serve poorest of the poor. Two decades later, she single-handedly started the Missionaries of Charity, an organization which has come to embody the values of compassion and care in a world of suffering. Mother Teresa won the Nobel Peace Prize and has been beatified by Pope John Paul II. But it is not for this that she is remembered.
