Her grandfather, a Rumanian herbalist, acquired much healing knowledge from gypsies. Her father was a doctor who practiced drugless therapy. She has maintained her own and her family's good health for many years using natural, non-drug alternative therapies.
A resident of New York City, Buchman has a Ph.D. in Health Science. She writes for Health Quarterly and lectures on the college circuit.
