About the Author

JOHN ARDUSSI, Ph.D. (1977) in Asian Civilisations, Australian National University (Canberra), is a private scholar specialising in Tibetan and Bhutanese history and an affiliate member of the CNRS research team . His present research focuses on 16th-20th century Himalayan history, traditional technologies and economics.

HENK BLEZER, Ph. D. (1997) in Buddhist and Tibetan Studies, University of Leiden, is research-fellow at Leiden University. Blezer convened the Ninth IATS Seminar and is (managing) editor of its proceedings.
