His Holiness Akhandamandaleswar Sri Sri Swami Swarupananda Paramhamsadev¹ neither claims Himself to be India's 'Godfather' nor is He an ascetic-mystic turning away from man and society.
He is a revolutionary in the finest sense of the term a spiritual leader gifted with superb oratory, a poet who can render wisdom into sparkling parables, a practical philosopher whose approach to Sanatana Dharma is both daring and scientific, a kindly Guru and saint-patriot who has wonderful things to say about the cultural and socio-economic salvation of modern India and the world.
His message in a mutshell is: Brahmacharya or character-building. Brahmacharya, He means much more than physical self-restraint, it is a dynamic spiritual principle that combines love with courage and contemplation with action. In His Sadhana love of God and love of one's motherland are blended into one supreme spiritual experience of the soul.
His Gospel Truths Akhanda Samhita' (twenty-four volumes have been published so far) is a collection of His brilliant discourses on observance of brahmacharya, character-building, means ways for transformation of common man into divine man, and also on various problems of day-to-day life and exquisite solutions to queries related to mundane and extra mundane hurdles on the path of Sadhana (ascetic practice) which enlighten the reader at once showing him the way to infinite bliss, solace, love and absolute devotion to Supreme Being.
Akhandamandaleswar Sri Sri Swami Swarupananda Paramhamsadev has founded Ashramas (religious establishments) but these are not for collecting alms, raising subscriptions, preferably to invent an honest, dependable unprejudiced means of how to make it possible to eradicate mendicancy from the foundation of all the welfare works of the country. Enduring the trouble of travelling countries after countries, many a times He travelled in a condition of out and out hunger, but that is not for begging alms, rather irrespective of begging, for the purpose of awakening virility in the national life. He rendered the audience bewildered with wonder while delivering His speeches at places after places, but before leaving that village or town He did not make any effort with folded hands for begging any kinds of assistance, not even made a very tricky effort for collecting His travelling expenses. He Himself bore the cost of printing bulletins, rent of halls (auditoriums), even the lighting arrangement such as petromax light for the assembly hall He bought from Dhaka. No body has seen such a great dedication in vigorous preachings of wisdom in this country before. For this reason the gospels of Acharya Sri Sri Swami Swarupananda Paramhamsadev are adamantine, full of vigour, spirited and brilliant.
