About the Author
Dr. Bharat Bhushan Thakur is working as a M.D Resident in P.G Department of Agada Tantra R. G. Govt. P.G Ayurvedic College & Hospital Paprola, Himachal Pradesh. He has done his B.A.M.S from R. G. Govt. P.G Ayurvedic College & Hospital Paprola, Himachal Pradesh. He has also worked as Program Assistant in National Pharmacovigilance Project for ASU & H drugs by Ministry of Ayush (GOI) at Peripheral Center of Himachal Pradesh for 3 years. His 8 research papers has been published in different national and international journals till now. He has participated/delivered number of lectures in national and international seminars/workshops.

Foreword
It is a matter of privilege for me to write a foreward of the Book "Text Book of Agad Tantra" written by Dr. Bharat Bhushan Thakur who is my old student. He has worked with me in a government of India, department of Ayush project and I am aware of his hard work and sincerity towards his job. Though the knowledge of any subject cannot be confined in the boundaries of syllabus yet for assessment of the study done in the form of examination by a student during and academic year, a syllabus is requiblack. NCISM has recently revised the sylla- bus of B.A.M.S. and an emphasis has been made to make it more scientific in applied aspect. It is always a challenge for the students and teachers also to incorportate new topics in their study material. This book has been written as per the New NCISM syllabus. The writer has correlated the concepts of dermatology and oncology with Ayurvedic concepts of Gara Visha and Dushi Visha which can be helpful to students. Where ever necessary, the matters has been described in tabular forms to make it easier to understand. The book has been written in Hindi and English languages which provides a better opportunity to students for learning in the language they better understand. The MCQ questions after every chapter are helpful to them for better preparation of examination. Preface
The of students by providing them the text of Agada Tantra in a simplified and easy form. Keeping in mind the same thing, I wrote this book covering all the references with Shlokas mentionem in mind texts ayurveda especially, Charak Samhita, Sushruta Samhita and Ashtang Hridyam. Matter in this book is compiled from different Samhitas along with their english commentaries and some relevant literary and clinical research papers are also refeblack for this purpose. I also wrote this book in both hindi and english translation to cover the wide range of students. I have added 300 plus MCQs chapter wise which will help students to prepare the topic not only for annual exams purpose but also for competitive exams. The book covers each and every point of Agada Tantra mentioned in the new syllabus as per issued by NCISM, New Delhi. What I brought new and attractive to this book is that the book covers all the topics in detail and tabular form.
