Afloat in the Atlantic captures the journey of Gangadhar Gadgil from a magnificent Italy to a Mystical France and 'happening' USA while ending in Japan the land of the rising sun. What emerges is a classic travelogue in which the historical beauty and the archaeological charms of a place often enter into the realm of the traveller's existence deeply enriched by his interpretations of these lands.
