About the Book Both Management and Spirituality are all pervasive. Vision and mindset need to be cultivated so as to correlate two different areas by a thorough interdisciplinary study. Through this book, an attempt has been made to establish a nexus between the life and teachings of Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya and the principles and practices of Management. An effort has been made to clarify concepts of workplace spirituality and spiritual organization, managerial effectiveness and performance.

There are many lessons to be learnt by CEOs/Managers from the life events and teachings of Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya for managerial performance and continuing a journey with enrichment both at an individual level and at the organizational level, and the society at large. As far as the author knows this book is the standalone research work on Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya and Management. The uniqueness of the topic will help to develop an insight to explore new aspects related to research on Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya and management practices. This work entails breakthroughs and provides a platform having a correlation between the life and teachings of Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya and Management which will go a long way in catalyzing an evolution in Management processes and corporate governance.

About the Author Dr. (CS) Bhavesh A. Kinkhabwala is by profession a Company Secretary (CS) having 20 years of post-qualification experience in a corporate. He is currently working with a reputed MNC as CS & Compliance Officer. In a corporate career, he has handled diversified work portfolios ranging from CS, Legal, Compliances, Insurance, Costing, Finance, Taxation and allied matters. He has worked with organizations in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, merchant banking, FMCG and retail segments. His educational qualifications are B.Com, LLB, MBA with a specialization in Marketing & Operations Management from B.K. School of Business Management, Gujarat University, Company Secretary (ACS) from the ICSI, New Delhi and PhD in Management from B.K. School of Business Management, Gujarat University. His research interests are Adi Shankaracharya and his teachings, Spirituality and its linkage with Management, Artificial Intelligence and Spirituality, CSR, Business Policy and Environment, Humanities & Liberal Arts in Management. His areas of interest are Laws, Management, Spirituality, Indology, Literature and Sociology. He has presented 18 research papers at various national and international conferences (includes presentation at IIM-B, IIM-C, IIM-K, IIM-I, MICA) and has published one management case study and 26 research papers (including ABDC ranked, Scopus-indexed international journals). Preface Since many years the topic of this book "Adi Shankaracharya, Spirituality and Management" was feeling from the heart to work on it. I strongly feel and believe that Bhagwadpad Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya is omnipresent and always guide whosoever calls. him from the bottom of heart. This work is the outcome of the blessings of my master as I could also get an opportunity to do PhD in Management on the same topic.
