Vandana Sharma (Diya Sharma) is a Ph.D. Research Scholar (Advaita Vedānta Darśana) at the Department of Philosophy, Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu. She is a proud Junior Research Fellow of the Indian Council of Philosophical Research. Her love and devotion towards Jagadguru Adi Sankarācārya, animals and environment is known to one and all. She is a profound public speaker and an animal rights activist. She has presented her research papers on varied subjects like Śaivism, Yogā, Advaita Vedānta, animal welfare and more on national and international level. She also has about ten published papers in various international journals. She has earned herself a Bachelors and Masters in Philosophy from the Annamalai University. She went on to complete her Advanced Diploma in Advaita-Vedanta and the Srimad Bhagavad-Gītā from The Chinmaya International Foundation. She also completed her Certificate in Yoga, Asana and Pranayama from The Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga.
