Adi Sakti: Philosophy and Narratives of the Feminine Divine is a compilation of the lecture series which was conducted at Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth during the Dipavali festival in November 2020. The love and admiration for Sakti, the Feminine Divine, is a major feature of the Sanatana-dharma right from the Vedic times. She continues to be revered and invoked as Lakṣmi, Parvati, Durga, Sarasvati, Kali and in many other names and forms. The book provides a comprehensive overview of Adi Śakti from various dimensions. It contains ten chapters and has been divided into two parts. The first part looks at the concept, different forms and philosophy of Sakti: whereas the second part explores the description of Sakti in scriptures and literature.
