It is not every day that rare historical discoveries come our way!
The Dead Sea scrolls which are almost chance discoveries in the caves of 'Qumran' have altered Bible research drastically. Similar are the other rare finds of, like parchments, Copper plates and Palm-leaf manuscripts discovered from ancient times.
The discovery of a rare Palm-leaf manuscript book, a thousand years old which contained 45-extra verses which are not found in today's Bhagawad Gita came my way nearly a decade ago. I have published the rare text of Ancient Bhagawad Gita containing 745 verses (the present Gita contains 700 only) is one such historical find.
Similarly the Copper Plate Grant of land, issued by King Janamejeya the grandson of the Pandavas of the Mahabharatha Epic, containing Panchanga, or calendar details dated 3060 B.C. is found in a place called 'Tirthahalli' in Karnataka.
