Tibetan Buddhist instructor Sogyal Rinpoche, also known as Sogyal Lakar, is the pen name for the author of "The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying."
Sogyal Rinpoche's most well-known publication, "The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying," was released in 1992. It contains Buddhist teachings from the Tibetan tradition on life, death, and the dying process. The book became well-known all over the world and had a significant impact on how people now interpret death and the rituals that surround it.
In addition to founding Rigpa, a global network of Buddhist centres, Sogyal Rinpoche also gave a lot of lectures on Tibetan Buddhism, meditation, and mindfulness. He emphasised the value of encouraging compassion, wisdom, and emancipation while incorporating spiritual practise into daily life.
